WHERE DOES THE DATA COME FROM?
Trade disclosures are sourced from public filings (Quiver Quantitative), company and sector data from Financial Modeling Prep, legislative data from LegiScan and Congress.gov, and federal contract data from USAspending.gov. Data may be delayed and can contain errors — always verify critical information with official sources.
IS THIS INVESTMENT ADVICE?
No. Nothing in the Application constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument or security. Congressional Trades is an informational tool only. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.
WHY DOES A TRADE SHOW "UNKNOWN" SECTOR?
Sector and industry metadata are enriched after a trade is ingested. If a field appears blank, the enrichment step may still be running. Use the refresh control on the Terminal to reload.
HOW ARE SIGNALS GENERATED?
The Signal Engine correlates trades with committee jurisdiction, filing lag, legislative markup status, and member win-rate history. Heat scores and anticipatory probability scores are model outputs, not guarantees of future performance.
